it just hit me when i thought i was done editing it...i changed one or two settings and it flipped the whole piece into something amazing.

blows my mind what you can do when you fiddle.

I can't quite pinpoint what the change is, but it's sharper and has an almost.....futuristic...feel to it. That's not quite the word that describes it but it's just really awesome.

it's the "hdr" effect. but not actually hdr. cause i just use the one picture and "do my thing" to it. haha

"high definition range." you take a picture 3 (or more) times with exposures from dark to normal to bright. then you use software to meld them together so you get the shadows and highlights to standout without drowning anything.
